Double Agogo Bell - Large

The bigger of our two agogos, with the deeper voice to match. This large double agogo bell pairs two hand-forged iron cones of different sizes on a wooden handle; struck with a stick, they give two distinct pitches with a fuller, rounder tone than the medium bell.

The agogo's high-low pattern is a cornerstone of Ghanaian traditional music and a fixture of Afrobeat, samba and percussion ensembles everywhere - and it is a genuinely satisfying instrument at any level, from first-time player to working percussionist.
