The 10-11" head is the sweet spot for many djembe players: enough size for proper bass authority, still comfortable to play seated and carry to a session. This large Ghanaian djembe covers everything from accompaniment to solo work.
Each drum is carved by hand in Ghana from solid Tweneboa - African cedar - by drummers who build instruments they would play themselves. The goat skin head is thick and unbleached, fitted with tough rope tuning, and the shell carries traditional hand-carved decoration that makes every drum unique.
The wood is fast growing and responsibly sourced through the Forestry Commission of Ghana.
